FedEx volunteers in the Washington DC area made FedEx Cares week outstanding thanks to their work with the Capital Area Food Bank. More than 80 volunteers donated their time to package and distribute food items to area residents in need.

The Washington Redskins players and more than 300 volunteers from FedEx and the local community arrived at FedExField on November 21, 2006, to help prepare and distribute 400,000 pounds of food to less fortunate area residents in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
