To support the North Texas Food Bank’s mission during the busy holiday season, FedEx volunteers staffed several collection points on November 17, 2006, for the annual “Kids 4 Turkeys” program. The program encourages school-aged children and their families to donate a turkey so that homeless and need families in the area can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.

In 2006, Girl Scouts across North Texas launched the second annual “Troop to Troop” program by inviting customers to buy an extra box of cookies for donation to active duty serviceman in the U.S. and abroad. FedEx Special Delivery came to the rescue with vehicles and volunteers to collect and transport the cookies to military locations around the Dallas area.
