FedEx Express to Coordinate Book Donations For Los Angeles Korean Festival

August 30, 2007

SEOUL, Aug. 30, 2007—FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, will sponsor the 34th Los Angeles (LA) Korean Festival and coordinate the donation of books from Koreans to Korean-Americans in the Los Angeles area.

Donors may drop books at any of the 26 FedEx Kinko’s Service Centers in Korea between Aug. 20 and Sept. 5. The books will then be shipped via FedEx Express for the festival.

All kinds of reading materials, from storybooks to magazines to novels and reference books, can be donated, and any customer who donates books will be given coupons offering a 10% discount at any FedEx Kinko’s store.

“The LA Korean Festival is the largest such celebration outside of Korea,” said Eun-Mi Chae, managing director of FedEx Korea. “More than 2.5 million Koreans live in the U.S. and through the book donation program, we hope to deliver some Korean culture to Koreans living in greater Los Angeles.”

More than 400, 000 visitors are expected in LA’s Korea Town for the 34th LA Korean Festival, Sept. 13-16.

The locations of the 26 service centers can be found on FedEx Kinko’s homepage (www.kinkos.co.kr).
