FedEx Corp. today released the following statement in response to continuing media speculation about Frederick W. Smith, chairman, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Corp., and national political office.

"Mr. Smith has no interest in pursuing political office under any circumstance. He is fully engaged in running FedEx and continues to enjoy the many challenges and opportunities of growing the business globally."
