PUERTO RICO, DECEMBER 2008 - The Salvation Army in San Juan, Puerto Rico, received a disaster relief response unit donated by FedEx which has the capacity to serve between 500 and 700 hot meals or 5,000 cold meals a day. The unit was delivered “just-in-time” for a Thanksgiving lunch for more than 200 homeless people. In addition to providing meals and supplies to those most in need in the San Juan area, the unit will also be used to feed victims of natural disasters.
