To support the North Texas Food Bank’s mission during the busy holiday season, FedEx volunteers staffed several collection points on November 17, 2006, for the annual “Kids 4 Turkeys” program.  The program encourages school-aged children and their families to donate a turkey so that homeless and need families in the area can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.  More than 350 turkeys were collected by FedEx volunteers at Mockingbird Elementary School and Coppell Middle School East and delivered to two Metrocrest Social Services locations.  In all, the North Texas Food Bank received over 4,000 donated turkeys during its 2006 program.
