Christine P. Richards

Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, FedEx Corporation

Christine P. Richards is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of FedEx Corporation. She is a member of the five-person Executive Committee, responsible for planning and executing the corporation’s strategic business activities. Richards assumed her current position in 2005 after serving as corporate vice president of FedEx Corporation and general counsel of FedEx Services. In her current role, Richards is responsible for ensuring FedEx Corporation’s global activities are in compliance with international, federal, state and local government regulations.

She is also responsible for international and domestic security and government affairs for the corporation and its subsidiaries. Richards oversees the legal, security and government affairs activities for all of the corporation’s operating companies. Richards joined FedEx in 1984 and worked in the regulatory, litigation and customer support areas of Legal before being appointed vice president of Business and Customer Transactions at FedEx Express in 1998. Born in Amityville, N.Y., Richards earned her bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University and her juris doctorate from Duke University.
