David Binks
President, Canada Region, FedEx Express
David Binks is president of the Canada Division of FedEx Express. He is based in Ontario and is responsible for planning, organizing and implementing all corporate strategies and operations for Canada. Binks manages more than 5,000 employees, including all sales, marketing, air and ground operations and customs brokerage of FedEx in Canada. He assumed his current position in June 2006.
Binks joined FedEx in 1986 as a pricing manager in the UK. He has held management positions at FedEx in the Europe, Middle East, India and Africa Region. In 2000 Binks moved to FedEx Canada to serve as vice president, Sales and Marketing. In this role he was responsible for expanding the FedEx network and building brand awareness and corporate reputation in Canada.
A native of the UK, Binks earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from Coventry University in the UK. He is a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Board of Governors for Junior Achievement of Peel Region.
